A UK wide campaign is calling for members of the public to show their support for front-line health and social care staff by posting comical messages of appreciation online – whilst wearing fancy dress. Money raised goes straight to support the RCN (Royal College of Nursing) Foundation COVID-19 Support Fund via Just Giving. GreatDealsmadeeasy is supporting this great initiative, please get involved!

How did Fancy Dress 4 NHS start?

The front line health and care staff have been under a huge amount of pressure to cope with growing cases of COVID-19, often working overtime and with growing pressure. Adam Fillary saw the effects and on the back of #clap4NHS, started Fancy Dress 4 NHS. Adam highlights “Being able to bring a smile to people’s faces at the hardest of times, whilst raising money and showing the public support for those giving dedicated support on the frontline has been a privilege. This great cause is a perfect way to give back to where it’s most needed.”

Does RCN Foundation get all the donations?

Yes, RCN foundation will get all donations (JustGiving won’t be charging a platform fee to the charity). Many fancy dress outlets will be donating 10% to the charity post-purchase. All monies raised from the campaign will support the RCN (Royal College of Nursing) Foundation Covid-19 Support Fund. It will benefit nurses, midwives and healthcare support workers who are experiencing economic or psychological difficulties. Some fancy dress shops are also donating to the charity after a product is purchased – just add FD4NHS code at the purchase.
