Treatwell is an online platform that allows users to book beauty and wellness appointments at various salons and spas in the UK, Ireland, and other European countries. In this review, I detail my desktop experience of using Treatwell. I cover the pros and cons of using Treatwell, the Treatwell commission fees, the Treatwell promo code with 15% off, plus a final review verdict of Treatwell.

Who are Treatwell?

Treatwell is the largest hair and beauty bookings website in Europe. Treatwell is a 24/7 beauty booking platform available through a website and appIt started back in 2013, as a small company in Amsterdam with only a handful of people. Since the founding of Treatwell they’ve brought together different booking sites for beauty and technology firms. Treat well work with over 40,000 salon partners across 13 countries, processing over 5 million bookings every month.

Treatwell commission – how do they make money?

Treatwell‘s model is a little different from most. Instead of a flat rate fee for every booking, they only ever charge a commission fee when a new client books a salon via Treatwell. When hen a new client books you on Treatwell, they charge a commission fee to the salon of 35% (+ VAT) – but repeat customers have no fees, providing there’s a record of them having had a successful booking with the salon in the past 12 months. If you are a salon, you can review the terms here.

Treatwell pros

Large selection of salons and services: Treatwell has a wide selection of salons and services to choose from, making it easy to find an appointment that suits your needs.

User-friendly platform: The website and app are user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it simple to find and book appointments.

Competitive pricing: Treatwell‘s prices are competitive compared to other similar services, and the platform often offers discounts and promotions. Discounts can be up to 50%.

Transparent reviews: Customers can leave reviews and ratings for salons and services, providing transparency and helping others make informed decisions.

Treatwell rewards: Treatwell has loyalty programme that turns your bookings into beauty benefits. As a Treatwell Rewards member, you’ll earn 3 points for every pound (£1) you spend when you choose to pay in advance online. 1,500 = £10, so a £50 massage would get you 150 points (£1.50).

Convenient booking system: Users can easily book appointments online and the platform also sends reminders and confirmations to ensure customers don’t miss their appointments.

Treatwell cons

Limited availability in some areas: While Treatwell is available in many cities across Europe, it may not be available in all areas.

Limited customer support: The platform’s customer support is somewhat limited, with no option for phone support and slower response times through email.

Information disconnect between salons listed on Treatwell: Looking at TrustPilot reviews, there occasionally seems a disconnect on availability and opening hours of the actual salons and the same salons listed on the Treatwell platform. It is recommend to search the salon online independently to see the real availability online (remember if you contact the salon they may want you to go direct due to the 35% commission they pay).

Treatwell final verdict

Overall, Treatwell is worth a try and no doubt there are some top deals vs going direct. It also makes finding a massage, hair cut, nail pedicure or even hair removal service a lot quicker and easier. However, it is worth checking out the salon’s reviews on Treatwell as well as a quick independent search (e..g Google >insert x name< salon) to check the information is aligned to avoid booking disappointment). Treatwell seems innovative and worth a try. Use NEW-SALON15 as a code for new salons to get 15% off. Any discounts you find please share.

Overall the GreatDealsMadeEasy rating is 7.5/10.
